OK, let's try this again!
The "New and improved" Wyoming mini rally!
Last year we held this rally with short notice and had a low turnout.
But the people who went absolutely loved it!
So, we are going to run it again (with more notice), and with some changes to make it even better!
Get ready for some of the best roads you have driven in quite a while (not counting Corsa, of course). You may not know this, but Wyoming does a wonderful job of keeping their roads smooth and wide!
It is worth mentioning that Wyoming is the tenth largest state by size, but it is also the least populated. SO, there are VERY few cars, bikes, or people to impede your speed. ??
The weekend itinerary-
Friday will be a nice relaxed drive from Berthoud to Laramie, with some nice twisties and some wide open flats. A little of everything.
Saturday brings the main event, with a day of Fun Rally questions, and more great driving. We will end the day with a group dinner, featuring great food and awards for the rally winners.
Sunday is open for people to explore the area more or head home at your leisure.
The event will start on Friday, July 31st, and run through the morning of Sunday, August 2nd.
We will be staying two nights in Laramie, Wyoming (pack and unpack just once).
So, everyone will need to make reservations for Friday and Saturday nights, July 31st & August 1st.
The "base hotel" will be Holiday Inn Express & Suites: Laramie west. The rooms are just over $169 (tax included) a night with breakfast included- you do have to sign up for the IHG rewards club to get this price. Otherwise it is $232 a night!
If you prefer, there are three other hotels within walking distance that are as low as $129 (tax included) a night. They are: Hotel Fusion, Days Inn (both on N. McCue St.) and a Best Western (on N. Banner Rd.)

All the fun starts at the Trailhead Cafe in Berthoud, CO on Friday, July 31st at 9:15am, with a departure time of 9:44am.

Be prepared with a full tank of gas, so we can head out promptly at 9:44am.
Arrive earlier if you want to get some of their yummy breakfast before we leave.
One note about the rally- this is going to be a "solo friendly rally", meaning- solo drivers will have a real chance of winning this rally!
The price for this amazing weekend is $50 for one car with one person, and $25 for each additional person in a car. This money will pay for some of the fun activities and awards included for the weekend.
